This site is dedicated to the American community college experience. The writers you see on this site are community college students, alumni, teachers, or administrators. You might even see some writing by children of those affiliated with the community college.
Their stories and bravery will amaze you. Take some time to browse around and leave a comment if you like what you see.

Education is a process of resocialization. Perhaps the best education as resocialization film out there is Educating Rita. This early 80's film shows that education is more than just academic information, it is culture and it is choice. We welcome submissions of all essays comparing Rita's resocialization process with that of your own.
Writing in a journal is an excellent way to improve your writing, but it also acts as a release for pent-up emotions and clears the way to more reasonable and deep thought--particularly about academic writing. Still, sometimes the best writing and certainly the best stories come from "blowing off steam" journal writing. Rebeccah Villarruel's quick journal entry proves this. After you read hers, send in yours.
